The school sessions are arranged through your local library service.

In this section, we will be adding resources to use as guidance for planning your sessions. There will be sample lesson plans and suggestions on how to get the most out of the session, both for individual classes, and across the whole school if you’ve had a session with a full assembly. We want your school to get the best value possible from your NCBF session so please ask your named library contact for advice about follow up sessions.

The 2015 school programme is now full booked and if you would like your school to take part in 2016, or you would like to know more about planning author and illustrator visits to your school, please contact your local branch library.

NCBF Patron Philip Ardagh has very kindly given us permission to include his tongue-in-cheek poem, Welcome to St Judas. We’re glad to say that we have no reports from our authors and illustrators about similar experiences in the North East!
